I have to get my latest bike insured and tried to do it along with my other bikes under my house/contents insurance. My current house/contents insurer said they wont have it on the policy as they cap bikes at £1500.

I wondered what other people are doing with insurance? Are you calling a bike a personal possession and listing it on the policy as so somehow or taking out separate specific bike insurance? If its the latter any contact info would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Mark

I have just checked round the same sorts of routes and cover I have with Allianz which has the same restrictions BUT you can add it to your insurance as a specific item, a bit like you would with itemised expensive jewellery etc. I am sure it would put your premium up but would get your pride and joy covered Very Happy if you know what I mean.
