Hi Guys,

I noticed today that there are roadworks to a water main at the entrance to purbrook heath.

It is closed to 4 wheel transport but looks open to foot and bikes. This may change however as they look like they are continuing work tomorrow.

I hope wiggle are aware of this bottle neck!

I enjoyed my own 'race' today, rode with a few, saw some casualties of speed, some punctured and deflated riders, and wasn't the scenery epic?

Still managed under 6:20 without any fuss, felt great afterwards too!
Stuck to my cadence plan of 90-100, with liquids every haf-hour and food on the hour, finishing with a gel every 5 miles for the last 20.

Well it started with a great turnout from PNE!! Brilliant and motivating mass start. Just checked the results and not only did I achieve Gold but, with the aid of Martin Blount, I MANAGED THE 2ND FASTEST TIME!! Now to get some strengh for the Southern's 100 miles in Sep. I was completely exhausted at the finish yesterday. Big WELL DONE to all that took part!!

Well done to all who took part and 'flew the flag', Simon perhaps we need to get you a juliet marked Official PNE Photographer'

Here are the results - with a few Golds - respect to Alan Cockram with a 'solo' Gold ride after assisting with Registration. Well done to all - lets do a mass start/finish for the Southern Sportive (or perhaps just two groups finishing together?)

I would like to apologise to Mr Walker for costing us our gold time with a puncture at the bottom of Portsdown Hill, cheers for stopping and helping with the repair!!
Looking forward to seeing the video as I believe the fella there with the video camera said he had interviewed quite a few PNE members for the video.

Apologies for not waiting for you guys at the top of the hill, I waited for a bit but I could feel my legs stiffening up so soft pedalled to the finish hoping that you'd catch me.

A good ride, some good times posted there, I did better than I expected although I did wheelsuck quite a lot for the last 30 miles. I shall have to do my turn on the front in future. Considering the Southern now...

Man I knew I was fast but so fast I even beat the photographer. Poor 7460 not one photo. That said I did manage to get my big noggin on the video, talking to retro, chewing my nails. Fame at last

Hi I met some of you guys at the end of the mega meon over coffee and asked about the club. Will be coming along to a club ride (although tommorrow looks pretty aweful forcast!). Great day!!
But am also doing the Wiggle IOW ride next week and wondered if anyone from PNECC was also doing either the epic or the standard ride?

I'm at a friends this friday evening for a poker evening ( no idea how to play!) but will be at the wiggle IOW on Sunday epic route if legs upto it else standard. My usual cycle buddy has chickened out of this one as well Are you guys there?

Mark.... no one has said about doing the iow sportive? ive looked on the wiggle site too and cant see it perhaps its closed.
i cant make it a week on friday but im sure you will get a warm welcome, i hope you decide to join its a nice club.
