Our Time Trial calendar of events is now available on the PNECC website, via this link http://www.pnecc.co.uk/timetrials.html as is the calendar of events for other local clubs.

Please note that the PTTL event 6 is listed as "Sunday 03-Aug-14 BRCC 10 mile P901/10 07:00 PTTL - Max 90 riders"

The latest information I have is that the course will be P903/10 with an 07:00 start.

I'm sure the powers-that-be will update the website when he gets the chance Smile

I've added 3 x 25 mile events on Saturdays, as longer events were requested by various members.
Hopefully we will have the continued support of our loyal band of members who enable the events to be run is a safe manner. With this in mind if there are members who are willing & able to assist in any of our planned events please contact me, help is always appreciated.

I'm hopeful we will be able to hold an open event during 2015 again this will require the support of members, more details to follow nearer the time Smile

Rider Categories, Points and Teams (from 2014)
.
By Hamish Walker on Sunday, 12 January 2014 at 14:54

1) Whatever age you are as from the 1st March (in that current year), will determine what category you will be placed in for the league category system. This applies even if you are unable to ride the first event. If your first event is any other than the 1st event this rule still applies

2) The age category system for the series will be: Lady (L), Youth 12 to 16 (Y), Junior 16 to 18 (J), Senior 18 to 39 (S), Vets 40 to 49 (V), Senior Vets 50 to 59 (SV) and Grand Vets 60+ (GV)

3) For the Team Award, a team will consist of five riders. The team shall be the fastest five riders from each participating club from each event

4) The individual team score will be calculated by adding the fastest five riders PTTL point scores together making a sub-total. This sub-total score will be carried over and added to the next events sub-total score creating a new sub-total score. This process to continue and after 6 events you will have a grand total and a overall team winner

As certain as I can be that I will be riding at least the first 3 events. The calender is booking up fast but so far the last 3 are doable also, although can be much less certain. Less than 2 months -best get some training in!

For those who are that way are inclined Hamish has also put together a Facebook group for the PTTL league. Just put in Portsdown Time Trial League and you should find it.
The 5 rider rule could work quite well for us I think if we can get everyone there. I can make the first three but feel the birth of Ayton number two could put pay to the last three, i'll try and give it a go though!!

As a seperate issue Ray, whats the chance of getting a points table together for the clubs TT's and updating it on the website. I dont mind doing the donkey work on a spreadsheet after each event but ive no idea how to get it on the website. Thought it could be good for a bit of friendly banter and rivalry between people who are closely matched.

No worries JA, I'll put a spread sheet together this year & get Dave to add it the TT page or somewhere equally appropriate.

Once I get the police notification forms completed then I'll confirm our calendar of events; hopefully it'll remain as is.

Maybe 75% ish counting toward an individual's "total" score for the year? I'm happy to receive suggestions from the TT ists Smile

The PTTL Facebook page was a closed group & Hamish was sending invitations to join it. I'm sure an appropriate email request will get people in.

I think you can just request to join the page and Hamish will ok it. He's said it was also for people interested in giving them a go so shouldn't be a problem.
Re. the points table, I know that BRCC run their evening 10's table on the basis that you count your 10 best results.
Maybe something along those lines for a bit of fun?

With the PTTL events do you have to pre-enter or can you just rock up and sign on like the club ones? Quite tempted to give a few a go this year but not sure of protocol!

No pre-entry required but they can be popular & are limited by the usual safety rules regarding maximum number of riders allowed; so timely attendance is recommended, to avoid any potential disappointment Smile
