Hi all,

Please post your favourite Bike/Cycle/Frame brand here as I am trying to get a view of whats hot and whats not.
If you can please add a valid reason as to your choice that would be good.
Being Brunswick Green will not be a valid reason Mr Martin. Very Happy
thanks

Andy

Waterford, Serotta, Seven, Dean or Moots if you've got silly money.

As long as it's fitted with Shimano it's gonna be good.

I use a carbon planet x with a centaur groupset. Try a few bikes out within the club before you make the leap and spend loads of money.

Focus Izalco pro 3 with Sram Force .... uses the same frame as the team bike. bike radar bike of the year 2012. mate of mine has one, and doesnt shut up about it.

I have the Mekk 2g poggio p2.0. great entry level carbon bike. just need to change my wheels.

going on a 7 month deployment next year, so lots of saving for my next toy..

OK so far I have worked out that in order for me to buy a bike for me, the wife and my daughter I will need to sell the rest of the kids and the dog and take on a 2nd job........

OR...........do the pits still need child labour????

I suspect that your first modern era bike might be a borrowed Carrera aluminium job (with replacement carbon forks) and a Campag 20 speed groupset - if a younger newbie doesn't get there first!

Oh, and you have to master clipless pedals What a Face

Yeah, I will be taking it with me. along with a bike bag/ turbo trainer and some spares that I havent yet purchased... there are a few of us onboard who are into cycling, so will be getting off the ship to go for a few rides when we can. not sure what the rides are going to be like. but if its not very rider friendly, I can beast myself on the trainer.

The winner is Planet X.
Frame Forks and seat post are of the carbon veriety.
headset bars and stem are Planet X's own.
Now all I need is the rest of the bits and bobs to turn it into a complete bike.
Thank you all for the advise

Andy
