Very Happy I've created a facebook page for Portsmouth North End. By all means make friend requests and when I get opportunity I'll accept all PNE members - just another medium for interaction.

It also puts in an appearance on the re-vamped pnecc website, along with my (@trigwill) twitter for now (until I can re-activate the @pnecc twitter account). Suspect

Every little helps! alien

Thanks Dave, that's great news.

Just one thing though: I would hope that members would keep their posts and comments positive, clean and never as a way to make disparaging remarks about other clubs and/or individuals. I'm not very good at Facebook and I don't know if you can delete a thread or comment. I would suggest that persistent offenders be 'de-friended'.

Don't mean to cast a shadow over things, just wanting to make sure this excellent step forward maintains our club's good image in the way we all want.

Very Happy High Mark, should come through a search, account is portsmouthnorthendcc have a few friends so far and will accept as and when I can log on.

@ Paul, facebook has some baggage, linking to 'friends' (as long as one has permission) permits access to their 'walls' photos etc. The permission to write on the portsmouthnorthendcc 'wall' can be controlled and items removed if necessary. 'We' as a club need to embrace present day media and encourage riders who want to belong to Portsmouth's oldest cycling club.

Like a Star @ heaven I think facebook is a excellent medium for a large number of existing and potential new members - not everyone's cup of tea - but 'here and now'. alien
