sunday 28th august

hi anyone up for a ride sunday or monday - forcast looking hopeful! I'm based in Hamble but happy to head towards Portsmouth or do a ride around the New Forest? I've had a change of plans and am now around!!

I was planning to ride Sunday, available Monday also.

I might be up for something Sunday afternoon, depending on how far and fast the club ride is Sunday morning but I'm working all day and most of the night Monday (Bank holiday, time and a half!).

I'll be out with the club on Sunday morning but I'll be out on Monday early morning for a ride as well. So available!

sunday - wasnt sure if there was a club ride - but as there is I'll see you there! 0900 at the george i presume?
monday - any suggestions?

very enjoyable club ride - cant believe how many times I've cycled past the sustainability centre and not realised there's a nice cafe! (with lovely flapjack!)
Still on for a couple of hours ride monday if anyones interested?

I've dried out (finally) so could be tempted, don't mind where or how far although I'll be coming from Southsea on the bike

Sorry Sam, I only just saw this when I get back from a ride.
Perhaps it's best you didn't come out with me, I was trying to follow the club ride route from the weekend. I took two wrong turns, crashed once and was stung by a wasp!

Do they have any awards in cycling for 'gross under-achievement' like they do in sailing?

Glad you enjoyed the ride! 12 riders with a gentle ascent of Old Winchester Hill from the Warnford end. Most of us avoided the rain too. If I ever get my legs back I might be able to contest the sprint at Hambledon.

Cheers guys good ride, but just because I'm a noob doesn't mean you have to let me win the Hambledon sprint and the Speltham Hill climb!

Errr....................most people are told that they are in a race before it starts lol! It is unlikely I will ever beat you up Speltham, but I can live with that :0)
