I'm up for giving this a go, anyone else mad enough to join me?
192/195km of hills, oh joy... Shocked
Not this coming weekend (23rd 24th) but after expect me to be back in the saddle week days as much as I can.
So anyone wanting week day rides (except Tuesdays) put it on the last minute rides, almost certainly I'll be up for any...
Cheers Simon.

I signed up at the beggining of the year for the full distance. Lack of mileage during the winter made me suffer at the mega meon but hopefully stick some strength in the legs through the summer to make up for it??!!! Just bidding on some tacx rollers on e-bay, anyone have any spare crash mats handy?? Surprised lol!

I've just signed up for the full distance, don't fancy the Gauntlet as I'll be riding there and back from Portsmouth anyway! (Although the train is an option for the return trip...)

Very Happy this reminds me of my marathon running days and the starting line 'excuses' but I seem to have picked up a sore hip and its quite prominent when walking. Still plan to do the gauntlet although at a conservative pace (always with the option to reduce distance if hip persists) therefore won't commit to a group and will do my 'own thing'. Will still lookout for other PNE riders - have a good one (remember your waterproofs!) alien

Very Happy Completed the 155Km Full instead of the Gauntlet - it wasn't the tyre blow-out affraid I had at 60.5mls (really surreal, as I was fixing it one of the performancecycles.com mechanics appeared magically behind me in a support car, was able to sell a Continental Ultra sport tyre AND fit it! for £15 - spooky) and it wasn't the wasp that got behind my glasses and decided to sting me right between the eyes and above the left eye affraid (Pain! bit of double vision and numb teeth? oh and Pain!), no it was the weather - I got to top of Winchester Hill and at the peel off left for the Gauntlet.......I went right for the Standard Full distance. Shocked

Very Happy James caught me up and we finished together (he had IMO an excellent Gauntlet in just over 7 hours SILVER, well done mate) I completed the Full in 6:54 SILVER, slower than last year but a couple of little things happened on the way round this time. alien

Good effort lads, I was back home by then, didn't get my official time but had endomondo running the whole way round. I believe my final time was around 3hrs 50mins for the medium route which just might be the fastest on that route today Very Happy despite missing a turn and having to double back, nearly missing a turn and trying to take a turn that wasn't.

Oh and I got stung by a bee on the inside of my lip yesterday whilst cycling - had to go and get some Piriton from boots as it swelled up like a balloon so I know your pain!
