After Jerry's suggestion last week I had a play with the Endomondo app on my phone and have created a PNE team..

They claim the service is community based so I thought I'd create a community.

Jon,
Im signed in, and it seems to be working, I am able to view your ride today as well as my own. A great free app and community sight. Just wish my average pace times were better scratch

Very Happy Have joined the team, but yet to record a ride. Will put phone on next time out for a longer ride. I think it will have to go some way to compete with MapMyide which allows uploads from Garmin and other GPS gile formats (and of course manual mapping). You are also able to download MapMyRide routes and courses back onto your devices. alien

I went with this over Map my Ride because the upload is automagic, I keep logging rides on my phone and then not uploading them to the web because the new Map my Ride website hates me. At least with this I can let the phone do the heavy lifting while I have a shower.

You can add a route manually by going to workouts > new workout > draw route with new workout (or new workout with no route if you just want to end speed and distance for your record).
