Hi Guys,

I noticed today that there are roadworks to a water main at the entrance to purbrook heath.

It is closed to 4 wheel transport but looks open to foot and bikes. This may change however as they look like they are continuing work tomorrow.

I hope wiggle are aware of this bottle neck!

See you all at 0745ish for the PNE grand depart at 0830.

Rich.

Very Happy Looking forward to all the results from today Very Happy

Suspect I enjoyed my own 'race' today, rode with a few, saw some casualties of speed, some punctured and deflated riders, and wasn't the scenery epic? Very Happy

Very Happy Still managed under 6:20 without any fuss, felt great afterwards too!
Stuck to my cadence plan of 90-100, with liquids every haf-hour and food on the hour, finishing with a gel every 5 miles for the last 20. bounce

Suspect Anyone signed up for the Southern Sportive yet? lol!

Good work everyone!! Great turn out for the club and some good times posted.
I would like to apologise to Mr Walker for costing us our gold time with a puncture at the bottom of Portsdown Hill, cheers for stopping and helping with the repair!!
Looking forward to seeing the video as I believe the fella there with the video camera said he had interviewed quite a few PNE members for the video. Very Happy

Apologies for not waiting for you guys at the top of the hill, I waited for a bit but I could feel my legs stiffening up so soft pedalled to the finish hoping that you'd catch me.

A good ride, some good times posted there, I did better than I expected although I did wheelsuck quite a lot for the last 30 miles. I shall have to do my turn on the front in future. Considering the Southern now...

Man I knew I was fast but so fast I even beat the photographer. Poor 7460 not one photo. That said I did manage to get my big noggin on the video, talking to retro, chewing my nails. Fame at last

Very Happy See you at the Southern Sportive jack?

Very Happy Other notable sights in the youtube video:

Very Happy Group PNE shot waiting outside as mentioned.

Very Happy Mark Pitman climbing up Butser head down.

Very Happy Raymond Gregory in his black arm warmers scooting down a hill.

Very Happy Rich Walker and his "accurate timing, easy to pay for etc."

Suspect Oh and some 'slimmer than last year' chap in the opening credits spinning up Butser in PNE kit with red arm warmers, crikey he's looking happy! [and I was - lovin it!] alien

Hi I met some of you guys at the end of the mega meon over coffee and asked about the club. Will be coming along to a club ride (although tommorrow looks pretty aweful forcast!). Great day!!
But am also doing the Wiggle IOW ride next week and wondered if anyone from PNECC was also doing either the epic or the standard ride?
