Guys
I am going to try and start up the PNE chain gang rides again, these will be every Saturday morning starting around 10am meeting at the Lay by where we start the Hill climb on the B2177, we will do a couple of 1 mile warm up laps then into a 7 mile through and off loop. Please let me know your thoughts and i can then gauge if its worth starting up or not. Its all good winter/pre season training. See below the planned routes

If there was enough interest i was looking at starting the first one on the 28th November.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Like I said on Strava, i think this is a really good idea.

I think the Sunday club runs caters for a wide range of riders with a range of speeds and 'no drop' policy'.

A chain gang would give the racers / testers an opportunity to stretch their legs without disrupting the club run.

Considering the local route, and that most will be using it as a training ride, it may be an idea to make it a 'dropping' ride. This would help distinguish the chain gang from the Sunday club run. It might need you to keep the speed in check for the first few weeks until the group gets a feel of what's appropriate. If the odd rider occasionally drops off the back, that's' probably OK, but if we're regularly losing half the 'gang' then it's probably too fast Smile
