2014 TT Trophies

The club awards trophies / prizes as follows:



  • Alf Basford Trophy - Fastest 74" fixed gear 10 mile TT, that is our opening event on 16th March




  • Hardesty Cup Fastest Junior 10 mile TT.




  • Trigg Trophy Most improved performance from previous year in a 10 mile TT.




  • Millicent Cup Fastest average speed for a female rider over 10 and 25 mile TTs




  • Britannia Cup Fastest 25 mile TT.




  • SC Dykes Memorial Trophy 1st place on handicap of 1st 25 mile TT of the season.




  • NJ Halewood Plate Fastest Veteran on Standard in a 25 mile TT.




  • Chairman’s Cup Fastest 30 mile TT.




  • Albert Earwaker Trophy Fastest 50 mile TT.




  • Rodney Cup Fastest over 25, 50 and 100 mile TTs.




  • Best All Rounder Cup Fastest average speed over 50 miles, 100 miles and 12 hour TTs.




  • Glenn Syder Points Salver Most points amassed for club TTs.




  • Ern Chatfield Memorial Hill Climb Shield Hill Climb Champion.



Only TTs that are organised by clubs that are affiliated to the CTT ( Cycling Time Trials - Governing Body for England & Wales) are recognised  as far as awarding club prizes are concerned.

The results do appear on their website but it doesn't do any harm to send me notification of your times, in case I miss them. CTT results

The club point award salver will be based on a %, probably 75/80 % of the total number of club events which take place. There are 18 events scheduled this year. Last year there were 14 scheduled but 3 fell foul of inclement weather.
