If we report the chasm in the b2177 what do you reckon the chances are they'll fix it properly? Mind you it's a utility pipe under it so will probably need an emergency repair before long...

Even a temporary repair would be useful & HBC are more likely (hopefully) to repair them once reported. 
For Colas / Portsmouth City Council this applies,
There's a pothole in the road. Who should I tell?
Please contact the Portsmouth City Council Helpdesk on 02392 834092 and we will carry out repair work within the timescale set out in our contract with Portsmouth City Council. We do also carry out daily inspections of the highway network which include checking for potholes.
