Just a heads up for this seasons PTTL dates:

Our Time Trial calendar of events is now available on the PNECC website, via this URL http://www.pnecc.co.uk/timetrials.html as is the calendar of events for other local clubs.

However, please note that the PTTL event 6 is listed as "Sunday 03-Aug-14 BRCC 10 mile P901/10 07:00 PTTL - Max 90 riders" The latest information I have is that the course will be P903/10 with an 07:00 start.

I'm sure the powers-that-be will update the website when he gets the chance

"Hello all,

With the flooding over the last few months, the unknown state of the road under the water and the closeness to our event on the 23rd, HRC have, unfortunately, taken the decision to change course. The date and time of the event will remain the same, the course will be P817c which is an out and back rarely used 15mile course which overlaps the normal P841 but starts and finishes a couple of miles further west. I think Team Axiom make use of it on their club events.

As the headquarters remain at West Stoke it does mean a trek (warmup) to the start and there will be an extended cool down heading back to HQ.

Unfortunately this does mean that all those looking forward to climbing Harting Hill will be disappointed.

On a different note the plan is still to present 2013 awards immediately after Team Axiom's event on Saturday week.

Note from Tim Yair from Team Axiom:
Unless things get worse, the plan is to use a version of the P823/15c, but moving the start/finish to either side of the HQ at Soberton Village Hall. That makes it safer (avoids worst potholes) and drier (at the moment the only bit of water on the course is through Newtown). Obviously we're keeping our eyes on this, and our fingers crossed. I have put up a note (with a map) on the Team Axiom website. https://sites.google.com/site/teamaxiomclub/team-announcements/pttl8thmarch-changeofcourse. I'll keep the forum up-to-date on any changes. So,are we going to get at least a team of 5 together for this one then?

Assuming everything still works, going to do a few test circuits on the seafront tonight if anyone wants a race?

"All, I refer to my previous email and hopefully you will have seen the message on our website providing details of the revised course. The HQ remains at Soberton Village Hall (SO32 3PF) which will be open from 1.15pm with the first rider off at 2.00pm.

The foregoing is on the assumption that the weather holds as there are a couple of places on the course that are prone to flooding. We will take another look on Friday and will let you know if there are any changes.

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this event as I'm working from 14:30-20:00

I plan on getting along to as many PTTL evens as I possibly can this year but unfortunately can't get along to this one. Not sure I'll add anything to PNE points tally over the season but you never know!

Having had a quick look through Graham Robins's pictures from yesterday's event it looks like about 10 PNECC riders took part. Well done to all who did.

I'll post the results, once I have them, unless someone else beats me to it.

Hi all,

Our event has been rescheduled from the 20th April (Easter Sunday) to the 27th April.

Also the HQ has moved from Wickham to Soberton Village Hall & as such the Start & Finish have also been moved and will be the same as used during Event 1 by Team Axiom.

Registration opens at 07:30, please do not arrive any earlier, if you are using a motor vehicle as it is disruptive to the neighbours & could potentially have an adverse impact on future use of the hall. Thank you.

Please note the change of course for this Sunday's event to P851C. Sign on / registration from 06:15 at West Stoke Village Hall

Another big turn out today!! The headwing on the return leg past the Piggery was an absolute killer!! The winner today came past me here churning the biggest gear, his cadence must have only been about 65-70rpm!!
Good ride from Andy Carter today, you said you wanted to improve your TT'ing, certainly did today, nice one mate.
Nick looking good in the overall as well, good work team!!
