PNECC PTTS Event 3 21st April 2013

Hello all,

I need some additional help with this event please?

We need some road/turn marshals, a 2nd pusher/starter & an additional person to help with signing-on / registration.

If you are not intending to ride & can spare time next Sunday morning, to assist with our club's event, would you please contact me? Thank you.

Is it 0800 first rider off? What time does sign on open?

Yes 1st rider is scheduled to start at 08:00, registration from 07:00

I'd still like some road/turn marshals if possible please?

Also, an additional person to assist with pushing off duties. Mike Simpson has volunteered for this but if there is a large field of riders, he could do with some respite. Thank you.

I've ridden the course this morning. Some road resurfacing has taken place around Staple Cross. The "loose chippings" signs have been removed & the road surface seems well swept of anything loose.

Most of the potholes seem to have been filled or covered over by the resurfacing work other than 2 adjacent to the pub in Newtown.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks good so hopefully we'll have a good event.

Aiming to be there for 7 and will help setting up the hall/signing on. If I can go about number 15 I'll come back and do results after as well.

Weather says the wind is likely to pick up by 09:00 ish but I suppose you'll have finished by then

It was quite a headwind on Long Road earlier, despite it only being 8mph on BBC site!

Touch and go on the other half, she got back from Switzerland at 1am and has been rather ill since - don't think it was chocolate and cheese indulgence but she's currently suffering in any case.

Thanks to all helpers at today's event; it all went smoothly from my point of view, so thanks once again for your assistance & continued contribution to running these TT events

That's not quite accurate, there were some same times that should have been awarded same points. I trust nobody else contracted norovirus after being in contact with me on Sunday did they?
