Other than the hill climb in October this is our last TT this season so whether you are a dedicated TT regular or a novice (like me) come along and give it a try.

Remember you don't have to have a TT dedicated bike to ride Time-trials

TT fees are £4 for 18yrs and over, £2 for 17yrs and under - you have to be 12yrs to take part, and under 18s requires a Parental Consent form please.

Full details of where to sign on, as well as the course detail, are within the Time Trial section of our website

Hopefully there will be another good turn out. See you there Smile

Thank you to all participants & a special thank you to the organisers, time-keepers and helpers.

The weather looked a bit threatening around 18:00 in Wickham but the event took place without any rain showers & on dry roads for the most part.

It was good to see several local clubs represented.

The results will be on the results page in due course.

Hopefully see you at out final hill climb TT on 7th October, check the TT page for details.

Interesting to compare times of those riders that rode the same course two weeks ago and last night.

I was very impressed when I saw the results were there this morning, thank you Dave. Did you start uploading them as you crossed the finish line? Laughing

I like a bit of number crunching JC, allowing for a couple of typos (e.g. Sam Harder is really Sam Harper) I reckon there were 4 who had a better time, than 2 weeks ago, & 10 who had slowers times.

Other than I'm sure there were rain showers forecast a fortnight ago I cannot remember what the wind was like. My memory is pretty poor at the best of times, maybe you have an idea?

It was windier last night with a head wind on the home stretch I felt two weeks ago was a float night (that's an old fashioned time trial expression for no wind, well it used to be down in Cornwall 20 years ago).

Even Dave the coach said it was hard coming back and he deliberately started as late as possible in a hope for the wind to die down. Very Happy

Oh that was his reason...it all makes sense now!

Interestingly enough I was 10 seconds slower last night (Nick Andrews was 9 seconds slower and I take that as a good benchmark), I actually lost 11 seconds on the way out and was a second faster than two weeks ago on the return leg (according to the wind that shouldn't be the case!).

Ray you were quicker last night so all I conclude is that you weren't trying hard enough two weeks ago!

I was trying as hard as I could both times.

I was on my flat bar bike 2 weeks ago & my drop handle bar bike yesterday; maybe that helped but as someone once said "its not about the bike" Smile

Very Happy Dodging the wind didn't work, Suspect my biggest problem was seeing the road on the return leg sun directly in yer eyes with passing cars not seeing you until the last minute.....and then the lights started going out! lol!
