Rode the first of their summer series 10 tonight on the P881. Its a bit of a dual carriage way drag strip and not one for the scenery but certainly a fairly quick course. I set a new PB for a 10 of 24:24 so well chuffed!!
Its quite a high tech affair with live results posted on a big screen at the HQ, all a bit fancy!!
Big field tonight of over 60 riders.

Well done James, great time. I wouldn't mind trying this one. I think there is one on 30th May? I will try and make that.

Cheers

Nice one mate! That is a rapid time! Are you giving the Fareham Wheelers' 10 a go tonight? I'll be heading down.

Hope you're having a good time at the wedding mate! Unfortunately won't be able to make any of the TT's next week due to work, which is a shame as I'd like to do more! Had fun on Thursday night, rode a much slower 26.52, but that was pretty much all I had to give after all the racing this week so can't complain. Be definitely good to catch up though. No road racing for a couple of weeks so let me know if you fancy coming out on a ride next weekend or something.

James, I'm planning on going. Sign on is Greatham Hall right? Is it a bit hectic being on the A3? See you there around 6pm, sign on and go for a for a few miles warm up!!

Cheers,

Mark

Yep, Greatham Hall it is, easy to find as they put up big yellow signs directing you to the Hall off of the A3 slip road.
Was kind of strange being on the A3 on my bike but by the time I had wound up to speed I didnt really notice that much, just concentrated on the rider up the road and chasing him down!! They set you off at 30sec intervals and being a long straightish bit of road you can see your 'minute man' pretty much straight away!!
However there are some tasty riders there so the chances of me catching anyone are fairly remote!! Laughing

Ok sounds good. I looked at the results for the last two TT's, the times are mental. Can't believe anyone can have an average of 29.9mph. I'm lucky doing that downhill Very Happy

It's a fast course.....shame it clashes with Wednesday evening racing!

Apologies Mark, you probably wont pick this up until later but im just back from work (typical) and the wife is ill so been called in for babysitting duties!!
However I do plan on doing the Fareham Wheelers TT tomorrow night.
Have a good one and hope you smash a PB!! Very Happy

James, you not going to believe this. I did go but like a numpty forgot my rear light! Embarassed They said no rear light no ride. I thought the rear light thing only applied to open events?? I guess its because it's the A3?? Anyway lesson learnt and rear left on bike all the time!

Should be able to make the Fareham one tomorrow so may see you there?

Cheers

Nana award nomination! Yeah I'm pretty sure I have read somewhere before that you need a rear light to ride/race/TT on the A3, it is recommended for all our events as well (to avoid a further nomination also ensure the batteries are charged Wink )

Good luck tomorrow.

Well perhaps deserved? Surely not as bad as taking a wrong turn on a TT? Maybe it is lol!

Always learning......the hard way!!

Bad news that Mark. I seem to remember the week I raced up there they were offering out rear lights to people without them but didnt realise it was a requirement. Hopefully see you tomorrow.
Nick, wheres the 30 your doing on saturday? Do you know of any 25's that are going on nearby in the next few months?
