In the Weekend rides thread there is a post regarding Lanter Rouge, this mentions a charity ride PNECC could utilise as part of its 'club run' and really expand the club profile. so I have startd this thread for members to post on, registering their intent etc. lets support this cause Very Happy

trigwill wrote: Very Happy nice reply GCcan you post a link to the ride? Date? Is it a Sunday or Saturday? Times for setting off? If it was part of a 'club ride' it will involve some riders setting off from 'The George' and then meeting as a group for a 'group departure' on th PUAD.Guys this may be another opportunity not to miss to further 'Focus on the PNECC' and it's for charity alien

found link http://www.puad.co.uk/ also 15th July a Sunday. So definately potential to capitalise on this one? A very short distance well within riders capabilities AND potential new members on an area club members are very familiar with!

I'm in of course.
As Trigwill says, route is very familiar, 2 climbs on the 30 mile route. First one is the hill up from Coombe to Teglease Down and then up Harvesting Lane.

There are water stops on route but there was no food supplied. First one was in Hen Wood just before Coombe and another at the top of Harvesting Lane. Cannot remember if there was one on the corner of New Barn Lane to Buriton, someone was there but he may have been a Marshall.

Last year this ride clashed with the Mega Meon so it was quite busy riding up Harvesting Lane Shocked

From memory the group entries of note last year came from the Owens Cycles Team in Steep who had at least a dozen riders and around 6 or so from the Cycleworks shop in Petersfield.
